Welcome to Melior Community Academy

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Melior Community Academy. Choosing the right secondary school is one of the most important decisions in a young person’s life and we will work tirelessly to secure the best possible educational provision and outcomes for the students.

We are a fully inclusive academy with a distinctively creative ethos and continue to have the highest aspirations for and expectations of our students. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure our examination results continue to improve, that the students feel happy, safe and cared for, and they are proud to be here; and that students are challenged and developed academically by the stimulating and rewarding education they receive.

Melior Community Academy has an exceptionally well-qualified, talented, experienced and enthusiastic team of staff. Our staff have the highest expectations of themselves as professionals as well as of the students they will be teaching.

In the coming years, I look forward to developing close co-operation between our neighbouring educational institutions, parents and local industry as we work closely together to develop further positive academic outcomes for all students.

Best Wishes

Miss Z H Bidmead
