Liz Green

Associate SLT – Deep Support

Liz completed her PGCE in secondary IT at the University of Huddersfield in 2009, she continued to study for her Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Action Research whilst working at the Freeston Academy in Wakefield. During her NQT year Liz took on the role of second in department with responsibility for developing the KS3 curriculum for Business, Computing, IT and E-safety. 

During 2011 Liz and her family moved to Lincolnshire where she worked as acting Head of Department at The Priory City of Lincoln Academy before joining the team at Melior. Liz has worked at Melior for over 7 years and is the Learning Leader for Communications and Technology, looking after a range of subjects, such as Computing, Travel & Tourism, Media and Technology. She has successfully led the department for 5 years with results being at or above national average across the department. Liz has taken on whole school projects, such as developing the E-safety curriculum, and recently implemented use of Knowledge Organisers across whole school.

Liz has recently secured the post of Associate SLT for CEIAG, SMSC, Citizenship and Wellbeing and is currently developing this provision across the school ensuring that pupils become well-rounded citizens in school and  community and are offered high quality, impartial advice on their careers provision and post 16 options.
