Inspired by the 2014 memorial at the Tower of London, our students have spent three weeks building a display to commemorate the Centenary of the end of World War One. Students spent time in tutor periods making and researching fallen soldiers to commemorate on each poppy. In total, 8400 soldiers have been remembered in our display.
In addition to creating the poppies during form time, Mrs Hague had a strong team of volunteers - both staff and students, designing and building our display.
We have also chosen to remember fallen heroes on our annual trip to Ypres, Belgium where students laid a wreat at the Menin Gate during a last post ceremony.
We hope you will agree that our display is a truly spectacular way to remember their sacrifice. Lest we forget.
