Alison Mitchell

Mrs Ali Mitchell joined Thomas Sumpter Comprehensive in 2003 as a Teaching Assistant. 

Following a great deal of professional development and many courses of study (one particularly affiliated with Leicester Uni),  Ali secured the role of learning leader of nurture groups in 2007. 

In 2016,  Ali transferred to Child Protection and Safeguarding and works tirelessly to support some of our most vulnerable families and young people from our community.

Ali was a proud recipient of the Green Apple Education award in 2019 as an ‘Unsung Hero’, for her commitment to supporting the most vulnerable in our close community. This is in part because of the fantastic relationships that she has forged with all partner agencies to ensure families and young people receive the help they need.

Ali is also Melior’s Mental Health champion and is the first port of call for any queries relating to support and guidance for our students and their wellbeing.
